So what makes this ancient practice such an ideal pastime for the modern woman? According to medical experts, because the tissues of the vagina are incredibly absorbent and contain a large amount of small pores, the warmth of the steam works to soften and open them. Combine this with the herbs, many of which contain antibiotics and body-friendly benefits, are released and carried to the surface of your skin, and inside of the vagina, where they are absorbed into the bloodstream, ultimately making you a much more pleasant lady.
Because much of America is still becoming hip to the practice of vagina steaming, there aren’t many spas that offer the treatment. But like all good things, there is a DIY method.
Simply add your dry herbs in a basin of hot water, remove your clothing from the waist down, find a quiet place to vibe out and enjoy the ride for about 20 – 40 minutes. And don’t forget the most important rule, make sure the water isn’t too hot, to avoid burns. Stay wrapped in warm blankets as you sit so you don’t release the steam.
Once the time has passed, remain wrapped in blankets and snuggle underneath the covers for the night. The herbs will continue to work on your reproductive system as you sleep.
